Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At Play On The Shore by Joseph Henderson was sold in the Gleneagles Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in August 2006. The price achieved of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,599.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Henderson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing from the rocks, which sold at auction in October 2003 for GBP 19,120.00 (€ 27,926.50).
