Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fox and pheasant in snow by Joseph Farquharson was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 21,028.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Farquharson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When The West With Evening Glows in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 344,998.67).
