Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Finzean Hills by Joseph Farquharson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,472.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Farquharson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When The West With Evening Glows in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 344,998.67).
