Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Art, which included the work La Vie Extraordinaire by Joseph Bernard. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,845.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Bernard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jeune Danseuse Ou Jeune Fille À La Draperie, which sold at auction in July 2007 for EUR 48,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Vie Extraordinaire von Joseph Bernard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.845,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Bernard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jeune Danseuse Ou Jeune Fille À La Draperie beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für EUR 48.000,00 versteigert wurde.
