Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian the Mönch And Jungfrau Seen From Unterseen by Joseph Anton Koch was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 48,741.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Anton Koch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German Heroische Landschaft Mit Regenbogen (Heroic Landscape With Rainbow) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,812,500.00 (€ 2,305,579.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Austrian the Mönch And Jungfrau Seen From Unterseen von Joseph Anton Koch wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 48.741,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Anton Koch erzielen.
