Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Leuchtenberg Horses by Joseph Andreas Weiss for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,112.98). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Joseph Andreas Weiss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Trinity Lavra Of St Sergius At Sergiev Posad in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 89,482.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Leuchtenberg Horses von Joseph Andreas Weiss für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.112,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joseph Andreas Weiss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Trinity Lavra Of St Sergius At Sergiev Posad im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 89.482,79).
