In November 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Mujer Blanca by José Tola. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,755.48) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by José Tola have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2019 the work Tn'Bojo De La Cruz De La... was auctioned for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,150.60).

Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mujer Blanca von José Tola zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.755,48) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von José Tola konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2019 die Arbeit Tn'Bojo De La Cruz De La... für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.150,60) versteigert.
