In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours (Day Sale), which included the work Children on the beach by José Navarro Lloréns. The result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,199.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Navarro Lloréns - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zoco Arabe, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 48,250.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children on the beach von José Navarro Lloréns zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.199,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von José Navarro Lloréns mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zoco Arabe beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 48.250,00 versteigert wurde.
