Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Young Saint John The Baptist by José de Alcibar for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,385.38). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José de Alcibar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Group Of Eight Casta Paintings: (1) De Españól, Y Negra, Nace Mulata; (2) De Mulato, É India, Nace Chino; (3) De Españól, É India, Nace Mestiza; (4) De Sambaygo, É India, Nace Cambujo; (5) De Españól, Y Mestiza, Nace Castizo; (6) De Cambujo, Y Mulata, N in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 348,500.0
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Young Saint John The Baptist von José de Alcibar für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.385,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José de Alcibar erzielen.
