Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jos van den Berg could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures auction, the work A view of the Seine, the Eiffel tower in the distance, Paris changed hands for EUR 875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Jos van den Berg have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2006 by the work Winter Landscape at EUR 1,320.00.
