Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A nude by Jos Lussenburg was sold in the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2000. The price achieved of NLG 1,287.22 (€ 593.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jos Lussenburg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The harbour of Elburg, which sold at auction in July 2003 for EUR 1,673.00.

Die Arbeit A nude von Jos Lussenburg wurde im September 2000 in der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 1.287,22 (€ 593,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jos Lussenburg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The harbour of Elburg beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für EUR 1.673,00 versteigert wurde.
