Here, the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 75,000.00 (€ 62,344.14). Admittedly, works by Joost Cornelis Droochsloot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Princes Of Orange Leaving The Buitenhof And Passing The Western Side Of The Hofvijver In The Hague. in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 242,500.00 (€ 291,689.89).

Die Arbeit A Village Scene With Peasants Feasting And Conversing von Joost Cornelis Droochsloot kam im April 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 75.000,00 (€ 62.344,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joost Cornelis Droochsloot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Princes Of Orange Leaving The Buitenhof And Passing The Western Side Of The Hofvijver In The Hague. im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 242.500,00 (€ 291.689,89).
