This artwork by Jonathan Kenworthy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. In the Sporting Art auction, the work British Wildebeest Pursued By African Wild Dogs sold for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,467.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Kenworthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Somali Girl at Wajir, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 31,438.08).

In der Auktion Sporting Art wurde die Arbeit British Wildebeest Pursued By African Wild Dogs für USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.467,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Kenworthy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Somali Girl at Wajir beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 26.250,00 (€ 31.438,08) versteigert wurde.
