Auction result well in line with expectations
The work British Rendille Family And The Old Somal (Two Works) by Jonathan Kenworthy was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 2,978.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Kenworthy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Somali Girl at Wajir in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 31,438.08).
