Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2004 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Furniture, Folk Art, Silver, Prints and, which included the work Waiting For The Parade by Jon Serl. The price achieved of USD 8,365.00 (€ 6,717.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Serl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Love Of Living, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,649.14).

Im Januar 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Furniture, Folk Art, Silver, Prints and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting For The Parade von Jon Serl zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.365,00 (€ 6.717,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Serl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Love Of Living beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.649,14) versteigert wurde.
