The work A MOONLIT MEADOW by Jolene Lai was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,854.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A MOONLIT MEADOW is the most expensive artwork by Jolene Lai that we have observed at auctions so far.
