Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work WATER DREAMING AT KALIPINYA, 1972 by Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula. Here, the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 107,100.00 (€ 87,571.55). Other works by Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 162,500.00 (€ 144,740.36) in December 2019 for the work Camp At Walungurru - Dingo Camp At Tinki.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit WATER DREAMING AT KALIPINYA, 1972 von Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 107.100,00 (€ 87.571,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Johnny Warangkula Tjupurrula haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 144.740,36) im Dezember 2019 für die Arbeit Camp At Walungurru - Dingo Camp At Tinki beobachtet.
