This artwork by John Yardley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2010. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Tea for two sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,740.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Yardley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beneath the Pantheon, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,260.44).

In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Tea for two für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.740,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Yardley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beneath the Pantheon beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.260,44) versteigert wurde.
