Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John William Inchbold could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Early British Drawings, Watercolours and Portrait Miniatures auction, the work Bolton From Nature changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,676.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John William Inchbold achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice From The Lido To Giudecca in September 2021 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,266.91).
