In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Portrait of Sisters, Half-Length, The Elder In A Blue Dress With White Collar, The Younger In An Oyster Coloured Dress by John Shirley Fox. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,502.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00.
