A top price for John Robert Keitley Duff - as previously expected
In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours & Maritime Paintings, which included the work The new moon (illustrated); and Feeding the flock by John Robert Keitley Duff. The price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 794.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The new moon (illustrated); and Feeding the flock is the most expensive artwork by John Robert Keitley Duff that we have observed at auctions so far.
