Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Packed Snow; Landscape With Flag; Empty City: Three Paintings by John Hultberg. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,813.00 (€ 2,136.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Hultberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tower, which sold at auction in June 2008 for EUR 4,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Packed Snow; Landscape With Flag; Empty City: Three Paintings von John Hultberg zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.813,00 (€ 2.136,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Hultberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tower beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für EUR 4.750,00 versteigert wurde.
