In September 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Collection d’un amateur de marine, 35 ans de passion, which included the work Yacht À Moteur En Mer, 1995 by John Pendray. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 198.00 65% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Pendray; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pêcheurs sold at auction in September 2011 with the realized price of EUR 372.00.

Im September 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Collection d’un amateur de marine, 35 ans de passion durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yacht À Moteur En Mer, 1995 von John Pendray zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 198,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Pendray; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pêcheurs im September 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 372,00.
