Estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Three sketches of birds in two frames by John Olsen was sold in the Modern art and design auction at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024. Here, the estimate of DKK 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for DKK 3,200.00 (€ 2,796.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Olsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Pond at Humpty-Doo, 2004 in May last year with an auction result of AUD 369,000.00 (€ 343,863.57).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Three sketches of birds in two frames von John Olsen wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für DKK 3.200,00 (€ 2.796,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Olsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lily Pond at Humpty-Doo, 2004 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 369.000,00 (€ 343.863,57).
