Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Olsen could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern art and design auction, the work Studies of birds changed hands for DKK 2,900.00 (€ 388.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of DKK 5,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Olsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Pond at Humpty-Doo, 2004 in May last year with an auction result of AUD 369,000.00 (€ 343,863.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Olsen konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern art and design wechselte die Arbeit Studies of birds für DKK 2.900,00 (€ 388,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 5.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Olsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lily Pond at Humpty-Doo, 2004 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 369.000,00 (€ 343.863,57).
