The work Gathering seaweed, Iona by John Nesbitt was sold in the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction at Christies in London in September 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,422.84). Admittedly, works by John Nesbitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golfers Putting At The 8Th Hole, North Berwick Links in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,799.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Gathering seaweed, Iona von John Nesbitt wurde im September 2001 in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.422,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Nesbitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Golfers Putting At The 8Th Hole, North Berwick Links im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.799,02).
