Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Bonhams held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'Kiss Me!' by John Morgan. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,978.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Morgan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fight (The Cricket Match) in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 543,897.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Kiss Me!' von John Morgan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.978,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Morgan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fight (The Cricket Match) im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 543.897,61).
