Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work On the Kelvin by John Milne Donald. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,790.07). Admittedly, works by John Milne Donald have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the river Falloch, Ben Vorlich beyond in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 9,400.00 (€ 15,366.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Kelvin von John Milne Donald zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.790,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Milne Donald auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the river Falloch, Ben Vorlich beyond im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.400,00 (€ 15.366,53).
