Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the boulevard by John Michaux was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. The price achieved of EUR 717.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by John Michaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le charmeur de serpents in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 3,840.00.

Die Arbeit On the boulevard von John Michaux kam im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 717,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Michaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le charmeur de serpents im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.840,00.
