In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Thinking of her love; and A rest from foraging by John McColvin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,508.11), 41% above the upper estimate. With this result, Thinking of her love; and A rest from foraging is even the most expensive work of art by John McColvin that we have observed at auctions so far.
