Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Two Setters in an Autumn Landscape by John Martin Tracy. The price achieved of USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,441.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Martin Tracy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hunter and Two Dogs in January last year with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,487.69).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Setters in an Autumn Landscape von John Martin Tracy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.441,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Martin Tracy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hunter and Two Dogs im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.487,69).
