Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work View of Lake Nemi, near Rome by John Linton Chapman for USD 1,195.00 (€ 972.18). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Linton Chapman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Via Appia in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 26,233.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View of Lake Nemi, near Rome von John Linton Chapman für USD 1.195,00 (€ 972,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
