Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of, which included the work Various characters of the summer season by John Jensen. The price achieved of GBP 129.25 (€ 187.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100.00 – 200.00. Admittedly, works by John Jensen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘That’S What I Like About Shooting – It Transcends All Barriers!’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,352.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of durch, in der auch die Arbeit Various characters of the summer season von John Jensen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 129,25 (€ 187,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Jensen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ‘That’S What I Like About Shooting – It Transcends All Barriers!’ im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.352,60).
