In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original, which included the work Fountains Abbey, Yorkshire by John Heaviside Clark. It changed hands for a price of GBP 478.00 (€ 722.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00.
