Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Misunderstanding by John Haberle was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2009. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 34,886.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Haberle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Music in December 2003 with an auction result of USD 265,100.00 (€ 210,446.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Misunderstanding von John Haberle wurde im Dezember 2009 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 34.886,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Haberle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Music im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.100,00 (€ 210.446,93).
