Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rue Dans Une Ville D'Orient by John Gleich was sold in the Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in Paris in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by John Gleich have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2005 the work Oriental nude was auctioned for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,876.85).

Die Arbeit Rue Dans Une Ville D'Orient von John Gleich wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von John Gleich konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2005 die Arbeit Oriental nude für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.876,85) versteigert.
