Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work A Terrier With A Hare by John Fitz Marshall. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,398.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fitz Marshall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Artist'S Palette, With A Still Life of May Blossom In A Vase, A Book And A Bird'S Nest Beyond, which sold at auction in March 2005 for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,243.03).
