Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Over Putney Heath by John Falconar Slater was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in December 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,191.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by John Falconar Slater have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2002 the work Over Putney Heath was auctioned for GBP 5,019.00 (€ 7,859.82).
