Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Huntsman and hounds by John Emms. The price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,044.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Emms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell... (Two Works) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 554,500.00 (€ 448,479.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Huntsman and hounds von John Emms zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.044,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Emms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell...
