Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Buckhounds At Rest by John Emms. The price achieved of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 20,652.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Emms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell... (Two Works) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 554,500.00 (€ 448,479.46).

Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buckhounds At Rest von John Emms zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.750,00 (€ 20.652,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Emms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British the Kennel Club: Saladin, Witchcraft, Champion, Stately, Ladye, Dusty; Old Faithfuls: Sally, Graff..., Gorgius, Rockwood, Bell...
