This artwork by John Drawbridge achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2013. In the The Sunday Sale auction, the work Strawberry Hanger sold for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,042.70) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Drawbridge; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Night Arrival, Picton Harbour sold at auction in January 2013 with the realized price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,209.95).
