Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A train passing over Maidenhead Bridge by John Connell Ogle. It changed hands for a price of GBP 475.00 (€ 559.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Connell Ogle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Paddlesteamer Lying Off Corfu Before The Palace, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,425.63).

Im Februar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A train passing over Maidenhead Bridge von John Connell Ogle zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 475,00 (€ 559,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Connell Ogle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Paddlesteamer Lying Off Corfu Before The Palace beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.425,63) versteigert wurde.
