Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,158.32). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Clarkson Uren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing boats in a calm off St. Michaels' Mount; and A fisherman sitting on the side of his boat, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,504.33).
