Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Blue Accordian by John Brian Vallely was sold in the THE IRISH SALE auction at Christies in London in May 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 6,220.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Brian Vallely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Musicians in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 71,009.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Blue Accordian von John Brian Vallely wurde im Mai 2003 in der Auktion THE IRISH SALE bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 6.220,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Brian Vallely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Musicians im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 71.009,21).
