Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Johannes Wilhjelm could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work A view of a forest lake changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.37) - just shy of the DKK 3,000.00 estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Wilhjelm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On Skagen Beach in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,314.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Wilhjelm konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wechselte die Arbeit A view of a forest lake für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Wilhjelm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On Skagen Beach im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.352,50 (€ 16.314,16).
