Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Rhenish Landscape With Figures On A Path, A Mansion Beyond by Johannes Vorstermans was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,820.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Vorstermans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Gloucester, From The North-West in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 41,825.00 (€ 60,165.04).
