Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures, which included the work Fish for supper by Johannes Rosierse. The price achieved of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,195.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Rosierse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The night market, which sold at auction in April 2010 for EUR 18,750.00.

Im September 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish for supper von Johannes Rosierse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.195,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Rosierse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The night market beobachtet, die im April 2010 für EUR 18.750,00 versteigert wurde.
