In the Old Masters& 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism. auction, the work A 'Toebakje', A Glass, Playing Cards, A Tobacco Box, A Walnut And A Pipe, All On A Stone Ledge sold for EUR 17,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Fris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A still life with a stoneware jug, a glass of beer, playing cards and smokers’ requisites in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 301,112.48).
