Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Self-Portrait at a table with a candle by Johannes Christian Janson for EUR 625.00. This price was achieved in the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Johannes Christian Janson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An amorous couple in a window with earthenware, a pan and metal decanters, a kitchen interior with a figure behind a door beyond in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 4,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self-Portrait at a table with a candle von Johannes Christian Janson für EUR 625,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Christian Janson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An amorous couple in a window with earthenware, a pan and metal decanters, a kitchen interior with a figure behind a door beyond im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.000,00.
