Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Grachtje te Oudewater by Johannes Christiaan Karel Klinkenberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Christiaan Karel Klinkenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bustling Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaas church and the Schreierstoren, Amsterdam in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 269,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grachtje te Oudewater von Johannes Christiaan Karel Klinkenberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Christiaan Karel Klinkenberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A bustling Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaas church and the Schreierstoren, Amsterdam im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 269.600,00.
